I have a Paramount front hub apart and it's not threaded. I don't know about the rear ones. Must have been someone else's idea or factoid.

I have a disassembled Paramount HF rear hub, steel barrel w. aluminum flanges. The right flange has the same threading as the FW or fixed cog. The left is press-fit, so it can be properly aligned after the right is mounted.

Extrapolating from a sample of one is at the user's own risk...
