I bought mine probably in 1959 or '60. Like the Mark VII, these came in different versions for 4- and 5-speed freewheels.

If you have as warped a sense of humor as I do, you could use a SRAM "ESP" type GripShift, which should index correctly with this unit!

The appropriate shifter has a rather larger cable drum than those intended for parallelogram derailers.
