For me, those chrome Nervex curly lugs looked best against gloss jet black on Paramounts. That's the way my first one was back in '72, and the color it will always be for me, even though the ones I have now are red and white. and my Pro is silver when it ought to be mink blue.

Speaking of mink. Didn't Raleigh refer to the Pro color as 'mink' when it was brown and 'blue mink' when it was blue? Pretty versatile color, that mink.

\r?\n> I think this started as bikes that you wouldn't want

\r?\n> in any other color. For me:

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Cinelli=metallic light pink

\r?\n> Colnago=electric blue with yellow decal lettering

\r?\n> Claud Butler=a certain green in between British racing

\r?\n> green and olive.

\r?\n> Hetchins=purple with silver lettering

\r?\n> Pop Brennan=navy blue and chrome

\r?\n> Motobecane=silver

\r?\n> Schwinn Paramount=yellow

\r?\n> Frejus=silver

\r?\n> Richard Sachs=red and white
