Tulliio did NOT design the Gran Sport derailleur. He bought the patent from an Italian inventor. Tullio then modified that design. I saw the original patent. It's in the hands of a former racer and friend of Tullio. I think it dated from the late '30s. He said that he got an obscene offer for it from someone at Shimano. He refused to sell, saying that Tullio would roll over in the grave. Mama Mia!!!
