Subject: [CR]Classic tubular tyres

Who makes a great european mid-range (not too light, sub $50.00/ea) tubular tire ... I am looking for something with a gumwall look (do they even call it that any more ??)

I would prefer Hutchinson if they exist with gumwall sides, but I haven't been able to find a place that sells them that way.

Don,

I recently bought a Hutchinson Tempo 2 from my LBS (from relatively new stock), and it does indeed have the tan sidewall. It was the last one, though. At I think 300 or 330g it would fit your weight criterion (it's the entry level Hutchinson tubular). I paid R170, which in dollar terms is under $25. Can't seem to find anything about this range on the Hutchinson website, so I wonder if it has been discontinued.
