Well, Chris Beyer did have an influence on me as my money has been sent in, a room at the Battleground Inn is booked and I am going down South to this coming year's Cirque. Wish Chris could be there to join us but I'm making good on my promise to find time to meet and enjoy, first hand, those of you whom I know only via email. I'll be driving down with Billy Rounds, ex-pro Team Raleigh rider from ~73-78 and then Team Fuji. He has no computer but knows many of you ex-racers on the list. He's as excited to come down as I am; boy does he have stories, scoops and oh what a character, it'll be fun for sure!!! Anyone that knows him, please write a few words or stories - I'll pass them on to him which I am sure he'll love to hear.
Here's another of my list of goodies for sale. All to help pay for some other bike related stuff.. 1.. "New Years special" Front derailleur, Campagnolo NR, NOS in original individual bulk bag. All silver, 3 holes in cage, clamp on. $29.- each; $54.- for two; $75.- for three.
2.. Handlebar, 3ttt Superleggero, used in very good condition with only faint scratches. Original gold label still intact but print has mostly faded or rubbed off. Merckx bend, 42mm width and 26.0 clamp area. $35.-
3.. Handlebar, 3ttt Competizionne, used in very good condition with only faint scratches. TdF bend, 43mm width and 26.0 clamp area. $35.-
4.. Handlebar & Stem combo, Cinelli, used, bars in very nice condition, stem is excellent. Bar and stem are newer logo. Bars are 64-40's; stem is 70mm reach. Hardware on stem is all there and excellent too. $40.-
5.. Handlebar, Atax-Philippe D-352, used in good condition. Small scrape about 1/8 long inside engraving area otherwise really great. These are not anodized and polish up to a stunning shine. The engraving is super with an overhead ¾ view of a bike racer; oh so cool! Perfect replacement for your AVA bars on your French steed. I have these on 5 of my French bikes and love them. 41mm width and 25.4mm clamp area. $30.-

7.. Pump, Silca, NOS/NIP. Bianchi Celeste, frame fit 61.5mm uncompressed and 56.5mm compressed. $35.-

12.. Brake Caliper, Suntour Superbe Pro, NOS/NIB. Box is for the complete set but this is just the rear caliper and brake cable. Nutted, normal reach, #CB4000. $45.-
13.. Brake set, Suntour Superbe Pro, used in vg to excellent condition. Calipers are long reach 47-57mm, arms and visible hardware are in excellent condition with reddish brown o-rings and pads, one caliper spring has minor rust that should clean up and other spring has heavier rust that should clean up to good condition, nutted. Levers have no hoods and have moderate scuffing, ie. good condition but should polish up well if so inclined. $55.-
14.. Rear derailleur, Simplex SLJ6600 with Gipiemme label, used in excellent condition. This is their slant parallelogram version; a really excellent unit. $40.-
15.. Rear derailleur, Huret Jubilee, used and for parts only as she is incomplete. Missing upper mounting bolt, upper spring and smooth jockey wheel. With parts replaced she should be an excellent functioning unit. Some light scrapes and scratches overall good condition. $20.-
16.. Rear derailleur, Suntour V-GT Luxe, used in very good condition but with small area of heavy scrapes on back corner of jockey cage. $18.-
17.. Rear derailleur, Suntour Cyclone GT, used in good condition. This is from the "black" series, long cage, 1st generation. Some scrapes but nothing hideous and one of the limit screws is bent at top so easily replaced. $25.- or 35.- package with shift levers below
18.. Shift lever set, Suntour Cyclone, used in very good condition. Clamp on, chrome and hardware is excellent, black paint or anodizing in the recessed area. $15.- or $35.- package with above derailleur. Buyer of the derailleur gets 1st dibs on these.
19.. Pedal set, MKS "Unique Custom" road quill type, NOS but no box. Silver body and black cages. One dust cap has one 'nub' broken off and just a few very, very slight shop scratches. They really look excellent are almost as good as if they were still in their original box. Includes new chrome toe clip bolts/washers. $22.-
20.. Toe clips, MIRA brand, NOS but no box. Black alloy, size large, mint. $5 or $3 with above pedals. 1st dibs go to buyer of pedals.
21.. Seatpost, SR Laprade, used in fair/good condition. Pretty clean from fluted area on up, below that goes from good to poor with some good zig zags. 27.2mm size. Very clean hardware and upper clamp area. $15.- or $30.- package with saddle below.
22.. Saddle, Brooks B17 Champion narrow. Black, date stamped B73 Leather is in supple and excellent condition with no cracking but is formed to some else's tush. Chrome is perfect too. Brooks badge is intact but "Brooks" has rubbed off. $20.- or $30.- package with post above.
23.. Chainring, Campagnolo SR, NOS no package. Perfect condition, 53t, 144bcd of course. $45 or trade (+cash if needed to be equitable) for 151bcd 44t, 51t or 52t in same condition.
24.. Shoes, Marresi "calzature sportive," NOS/NIB. Stunning set of shoes, top quality, size 42 (trade for 44's?!?), includes mounted adjustable cleats. $55.-
25.. Rear hub, Shimano Dura-Ace, 1st gen. small flange used in very nice cosmetic condition; bearings are pretty smooth but grease is old and they need repacking and adjustment. My calipers measure them at 122.75mm oln. Includes excellent condition QR. $20.-
26.. Hub package (3), Campagnolo small flange Record, used. (1) rear is smooth as can be and good + condition126mm oln, 36h, English freewheel threading; (1) front 32h, little rough but good+ cosmetics and new grease and adjustment will probably have this super smooth; (1) front 36h, rough bearings and greasy but should clean up ok. All three look to only have been laced once. No QR's. $35.-/all
27.. QR skewer set, Campagnolo Tipo or Gran Sport?, curved lever with circlip instead of nut and adjusting end piece is cone shaped with a knurled ring around the center, vg to excellent condition, 120 rear. $ 20.-
28.. Rim set, tubular, Mavic Monthlery Legere, NOS polished alloy finish. 32h/double eyelets. $100.-
