BICYCLE CLASSICS to be under NEW OWNERSHIP

I would like to introduce Greg Parker.

Many of you in the hobby already know him as he has been in and around the bike business for over 25 years. He helped pay his way through College by working in full-service shops selling and servicing Raleigh, Schwinn, Fuji, Panasonic, LeJeune, Peugeot, Jeunet, and many other classic brands. During his last three years at the University of Wisconsin, he rode a lot, raced a bit, attended class with Beth Heiden when she was National Champion, and worked at reconditioning and selling hundreds of used bikes at the Budget Bicycle Center in Madison. Additionally, he designed and built two complete lightweight road framesets under the guidance of custom builder Mike Appel of Trek. Both of these bikes are still roadworthy and in his collection today. He has become an avid collector of vintage lightweights over the past five years or so, and has gradually bought and sold more and more vintage bikes and parts via the Internet as part of that increasing involvement in the hobby.

Last but not least, thank you all for your wonderful appreciation and support. I am only sorry it came at a time in my life with such changes that my service to you could not be 100%. Nevertheless, you all have been the joy of my bicycle career, and you will be much missed.

God Bless You All,

Alan Schaeffer
