My apologies to the list for the following geographically specific post:

We will be having a vintage ride on Sunday January 11th, 2004 in honor of this year's Man of the Year. Past recipients have been Brian Baylis and Joe Bell for their contributions to our vintage and classic bike obsession, and this year's award is being presented to Matthew Gorski. I'll be hosting the ride out of my place in Seal Beach with a post ride BBQ and libations. Themed rides seem to be popular, so how about riding something with a California link. A bike built here (Ca Masi, Baylis, Peter Johnson, Eisentraut et al), painted here (by JB, etc), spec'd or HQ'd here (Bianchi USA, etc) , composed of parts built here (Bullseye, Phil, etc) or sold here (pretty much everything?). Shooting for a very inclusive theme here. We all have stories about Matt's generosity, let's all get together and turn a wheel in his honor. Please email me to RSVP and for directions.

If you have previously RSVP'd no need to do so again. I will soon send you the specifics( directions, etc). Also, I don't want to experience another cold rainy ride so rain will prompt a rescheduling, and any postponement notice will definitely occur before Peter and Jan start their drive down from the Bay area.

Happy New Year Jay Van De Velde Seal Beach, CA
