Don't know when they made what. Super Champion was bought by Wolber, and the rims continued under the Wolber name. I believe Michelin bought Wolber and stopped making rims. Or was it Mavic?

Polished rims were still available under the Wolber name. I assume it's the famous model 58. Great rims. We used them in PBP this year.

Used on many Italian bikes in the 1950s. I believe they are Italian, despite the name. (Similar to the very French "Brampton" chains.) I won't comment on value. On some Sheffield Spring pedals, the barrels rotate freely, making them a dog to take apart. Others have wrench flats, which help.

Just make the bit from sheet metal, and braze it on. That shouldn't be so hard. With a file and patience, you can shape almost anything. Be sure to use a relatively "soft" carbon steel, as was used for the original dropouts.
