Dear listmembers,

I just returned from Seal Beach, CA and the home of Jay Van de Velde where one of the best Vintage Rides we've had to date took place. The weather was some of the best I've seen for riding in a very long time. We came together to ride and to honor our buddy Matt Gorski with the Tullio Campagnolo "uomo dell' Anno" award. We had a guest from New Jersey in the form of Mike Schmidt and some of the best wine you can imagine vinted by Brian Ignatin, one of our "group" who hasn't neccessarily been on the list all the time but still one of us. We had 18 who attended, one of our largest crowds ever. I would liked to have seen Jack Bissell join us from Tucson and our distinguished Joe Bell; and I missed Aaron Lipstadt also, whose presence is always enjoyable.

I'm really tired right now and I need to unwind, so I will file the detailed report tomorrow, with any luck. You WILL want to read it. Yes, you will be jealous. I'm sorry; but it is my DUTY to explain how much fun we have. This should illegal!

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA Recovering from one wonderful day. I don't even care that I missed the Green Bay vs Eagles game today. It couldn't have been anywhere as cool as our thing!
