Yuck. Almost as bad as the black powdercoated Professionals that pop up on eBay. How could one possibly improve on "silver mink"?

There seems to be a cornacopia all of a sudden of classic early '70s Raleighs on eBay; minty Internationals, even a lovely Grand Prix in a huge 25" frame. One is sorely tempted, but I've foolishly gone out and bought instead a "project in progess"... a 1961 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix. Maybe it was the Reg Harris Road model transfer that did it or the decorative chrome bits atop the fork crowns. It sure wasn't for the shopworn paint or battered transfers (this particular model is absolutely covered with the most amazing, un-English understatement decals). The Cycle Gods were telling me something when, amazingly, 12 bottles of the original NOS "Sunset Yellow" came up on eBay the same week!! I think I can just about repaint the whole frame with those little brushes in about three months...

Peter Kohler, looking for GB Sports Mark 3 brakes for the above.... Washington, DC USA
