The hole in the Campagnolo dropout for the Sport derailleur spring is a tough one to date as there would be large numbers of forged dropouts sitting on shelfs waiting to be used for years and years I'd imagine.

One of the problems of looking in Campagnolo catalogs for answers is that there are large spans of years between catalogs.

For example: 1955 Catalog #13 1960 Catalog #14 1967 Catalog #15

The classic omission of course is the Record derailleur (sold between 1963 and 1973). It never made it into a Campagnolo catalog!
