Ann,

Who says having bikes out the Whazoo is ENOUHH? It wasn't me that said that. No way! I'm not finished yet. I am probably close to topping out on track bikes, though. I only have plans to make 3 more down the road for myself, Hetchins track replica, Colnago track replica, and a track tandem (the real thing).

Smallish French bikes do exist in small numbers. English bike rarely seem to be under 21". That's why I've got a thing for the tiny Flying Scot I've got on the line. If you want something exceptional and English in your size, set your sights on a 70's Ron Cooper; they are about and drastically underpriced most of the time. I can say this now, since I finally found one myself! You have to be thankful that at least the Italians are on the short side. It could be a lot worse.

Small cool period American frames, affordable ones, are also out there. I have 2 Robersons, a recently acquired Bill Holland, a super Lippy, and a tiny Eisentraut Limited that all qualify. I know I've let go of a considerable number of cool bikes over the years.

Smooth move Ann, but I'm all over that!

Ok, Brian has enough bikes and I don't have enough. He says so right here. So point that teeny-tiny chrome Cinelli or minuscule curly stay Holdsworth my way.

Seriously, other than custom bikes, (and this should bring us back on topic!) why is it that the only stock vintage bikes that fit me right are Italian? What is it that made all those lovely vintage Raleighs only fit really tall people? I've not seen too many French bikes that fit me either. Even if I get the standover part right - the top tubes go on for miles.
