And at least the guy tried really hard with the wind trainer excuse.

That reminds me- when I worked at Brands in Wantagh NY not so long ago - of the Klein birthday present that was bought for a 13 year old kid- a beautiful (at the time of garish neon pink bikes) mtn bike was wheeled back into the mechanics area because we 'forgot' to put on the kickstand. Mom and Dad and little Kyle were all screaming that the bike had to have a kick stand on it- their schwinns had one, why not this bike? The bike passed through the hands of like 10 or so mechanics before someone did the deed.
