Subject: [CR]Reynolds Raleigh SuperCourse tubing ID help sought

I recently found a nice adoptive home (recipient never saw it before painting) for a Super Course, (possibly a Mk II?) Suntour forged drops with adjusting screws. Raised headbadge, not the thin brass. I remember a Reynolds 531 butted decal before sending it for a generic paintjob (as opposed to a custom refinishing) at the recipient's request.

He received the frame from the painter directly and likes it, but has a concern that it's not butted because his local mechanic (whom he describes as thorough but attitudanal) says that it's straight guage due to the sub 27.2 post size, something like 26.6.

The mechanic remembers Super Courses as having 27.2, as I do, but also having flat stamped dropouts, more scripted lettering in the earlier years, and indeed non butted frame decaling.

I might be able to find the evil twin of this one in the subzero warehouse, but I'd rather not have to go into the ceiling today.

Any help appreciated. He will not start to build it til we have another confirmation of the tubing. The whole scene is up and friendly and nobody will be stuck nor disappointed.

I trhink this unit he got is from Japan and is the later one from the 80's.
