It's a Campagnolo Turismo rear derailleur , made of chromium plated cast bronze , and chromium plated cast steel .
I was one of the people that the seller asked about this derailleur. I suggested that it would likely be of interest to some Japanese collector. I did not however believe that the bidding would ever go anywhere as high as it now is.
I wonder how much an Elefantino shifter is worth? Has one ever been offered on ebay? Imagine, it is probably just as rare as the Turismo derailleur and appears in catalogs!
