Subject: [CR]Front Changer with Cable stop

I'm working on a project that lacks any fixtures to route the front derailleur cable at the BB. My proposed solution is to use a front derailleur with a cable stop, and run cable housing all the way from the shifter to the derailleur. I have an old ugly Shimano 600 with a stop, but I'm wondering what else will work. Ideal would be a Suntour or a Simplex, but I don't know which models and/or vintages come with housing stops.

1. What Suntours had the housing stops? I've got a Compe V roaming in the parts boxes, but can't find it easily. If it had the stop, I'll keep looking. Anyone know? Did any of the Cyclone units have housing stops?

2. Did any of the Simplex SLJ units have housing stops? I know I don't have any of these, but there are a few leads for acquiring one, if it has the stop.

Thanks for all help.
