This model of MAVIC rim was the very basic one, produced mainly as an OEM ie specially for bike manufacturers I'm not certain when it was forst produced but I have some pairs without eyelets dating back to the 60s. They were and still are just polished not anodised, The MAVIC 1984 catalogue only lists this model in "Sport 600" ie 24" for youngsters' bikes. By that time the "SPORT" had been upgraded to the "Speciale Sport" and had obtained single eyelets. With a section of 21,5mm and a wall gauge of 1.1mm it appears to be the same rim as the "Montlhery Route" which had double eyelets. The former weighs approx 400gms and the latter 420.

I think that the earlier "SPORT" rims were fractionally wider at 22mm but I might have misread my vernier.
