I have a decal/transfer that requires varnish fixing. Here are the instructions that came with it...
"First cover with a thin coat of transfer varnish. Leave transfer until the varnish is tacky, then peel off backing paper. Affix transfer into position and sponge off tissue paper with water. Remove excess varnish with white turps using cotton wool and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Leave for 48 hours. To protect and seal transfers they should then be covered over with a clear lacquer."
Could somebody "translate" some of those British terms for a dumb backwoods hick in Memphis? I mean, what the heck is white turps?! Any help in walking me through this would be greatly appreciated...THANKS!
