Hello, I had a late 1950s Wander (Italian) bike which had an Assman saddle, I think it was original equipment, but I could be wrong. Chris Ioakimedes Fairfax California I wish bikes like that showed up at my local charity shop.

Hey Russ, I bought a 1938 Claud Butler Super Velo from my local charity shop a few weeks ago and it came with a front brake and lever marked Assmann. I had to rub away the rust and then rub my eyes to believe what I was reading. I would guess that the brake was an original fitment. If so it is pre war. I wonder if the company survived the war? Anybody have any more info?
