Saturday the weather in Atlanta was beautiful, perfect for riding. Sunday it rained. All day. Hard. I think it finally quit this morning, but they are talking about freezing rain today... Ugghh, and I wanted to do Jack's Lunch Ride on Tuesday!

So the local vintage lightweight contingent just went out for brunch.

Attendees included Paul (didn't get his last name) who got the ride information from the Southern Bicycle League website, Taz Taylor, Barbara Gilman (who should be posting on this list!), Roman Stankus, Nick, and making a special appearance, Buck Peacock and his wife Judy.

Buck brought the flyer announcing the big Atlanta vintage bicycle event on March 27/28. Usually this is balloon tire/Sting Ray kind of event, but there are always road bike things for sale. This year Buck has invited all us vintage lightweight people and even included a category in the bike show for us. So, if you live anywhere near the South East, please come! Lets astound and amaze all the fat tire folk with lots of pretty, sleek, steel!

Anyway, we ate at the newly opened City Diner, conveniently located down the street from my house. Lots of mirrors, but lots of tables, big menu and nice service. We had the usual show and tell of interesting bits and exchanges of stuff between list members (thanks, Nick!)

It is rumored we may actually try this again before next month, at least the part that includes riding bicycles...
