You're right, I have an original catalog 18bis, but I never noticed this difference before. I just checked the 3 Triomphe and 2 Victory rights I have and it is clearly noticeable now that you point it out. Any tricks for distinguishing the lefts, other than extractor thread? I never knew the C-Record and Victory were left-hand thread. I was vaguely aware there were Campy left hand extractors, but didn't know what models required them. Of course this is all somewhat Off Topic, but it is VERY educational. BTW, I have only two lefts, both Triomphe (I presume, since they have normal dustcaps) for the 5 rights. Anyone have Victory or Triomphe lefts to sell or trade? Now if we could only get the the Supreme Listmeister to declare this stuff On Topic. Come on Dale! C-Record, Victory, Triomphe, Croce Aune, Starfish Mavic cranks, erector set RD's??? Lots of neat stuff in the late 80's/ very early 90's without even discussing TIGed aluminum frames, indexed shifters, or clipless pedals. Sort of the "last stand" of classic components as the modern stuff gradually crept in. Wasn't Merckx era, but it was Hinault/LeMonde era, and that is pretty classic already.
