This subject is an offshoot of the Bertoni info I requested and concerns factory chrome-plated frame and forks that are also painted. I suspect that vintage Paramount frames are also fully chromed and later painted. To me, this would explain the translucent metallic look of both my Bertoni and Paramount. I don't want to scrape the paint off the Paramount to find out but has anybody seen under-paint finishes on 60's-70's Paramounts? If chromed, is the finish nice enough to expose or was it not polished in anticipation of later painting?
