[CR]FS 23 1/2" Raleigh Pro 1974, near mint

(Example: Framebuilders:Rene Herse)

I am selling a 23 1/2" Raleigh Pro, 1974 model, which is the one with sloping crown and fastback stays. 23 1/2" to the top, with 22" top tube. 98% original. The only things replaced are tires, one toe clip, and the 3T stem decal. Full Nuovo Record group with 170 cranks, 43/52 chainrings, 13-26 6 speed freewheel (yes they had 6 speeds back then). Beautiful unrestored condition. Perfect Chrome. No rust or dents or scratches. A couple of very minor decals flaws. Original AVA rims are very shiny, as are 3T stem and engraved bars. Has one nice Del Mondo, and the other tire is a Clement Veltro. Both are rideable. I have overhauled and cleaned up the bike, including hubs, bb, and drive train. Original brake pads look almost unused. I would guess this bike has only a couple hundred miles on it at most. You won't find a nicer one except NOS. Asking $1200 before I put it on ebay. See pics at http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rdf1249/album?.dir=/647b Contact me off list for questions or purchase. I will be out of town Jan 30 - Feb 3.
