Speaking of Mafac, I'm trying to identify the Mafac centerpulls on a late 70's Peugeot is I just bought from German list member Kim Klakow. This bike is a European speced model with several features I've never seen on Peugeots sold in the US. I've already mentioned the hoodless drilled brake levers with hard plastic bodies, which knowledgeable list members advise were a "superlight" model. The calipers are also different from any I have seen before. The brake shoe studs are threaded and insert directly through the slots in the arms like "regular" brakes. Most Mafac CP's of course, have the slots in a plane rotated 90 deg to that of typical brakes, and the studs are unthreaded and insert into a clamp rather than directly thru the caliper arms. The calipers in question have brake shoe attachement like non-Mafac CP's, thus dispensing with the separate clamps to secure the brake shoe stud. I also note that these caliper arms are noticeably thinner in the horizonal plane, but wider in the vertical plane than Mafac Racer or Competition. Both these differences to typical Mafacs would reduce the weight of the calipers. Are these a "superlight" model like the levers? Anyone know what they were called?

I'm also wondering what model the complete bike is. This is late 70's, silver rather than white, short point lugs, 531 DB throughout, half-chromed forks and stays, Simplex dropouts. Looks like the PY-10 sold in the US except I don't believe the US-spec PY-10 had eyelets on the dropouts, whereas this frame does. Did the European-spec PY-10 have eyelets, or is this some other model? Perhaps a PXN10E or some other late PX-10 variant after the introduction of the PY-10 at the top of the line?
