Been perusing a late 30's Bates catalogue, trying to get an idea on the model of my frame and how it might have been equipped. I was impressed with the variety of equipment options back then. 3 or 4 types of handlebars were available including "flat" bars. What do they mean "flat" bars? Certainly not today's MTB. Are we talking basically North Road/moustache or were there others?
