Jerry,

Have you ever given any thought to the fact that your payment likely arrived after the close of business on the day of payment (the 22nd?) To prepare shipments usually takes a day if all the packing materials are already on hand, bringing us to close of business on the 23rd of December. This leaves the 24th to bring things to the post office. The German Post office was then closed on Thursday the 25th of December and Friday the 26th (both legal holidays) maybe on Saturday the 27th (I'm not sure whether they would have been open) and then closed again on Sunday the 28th. So effectively he mailed on the 2nd or 3rd possible day... doesn't seem to be too slow to me, especially during the holiday periods with most people having many previous engagements.
