I think the Belgian one may be a copy of the Rohloff. See

The way they work is they drop into a chain only a little when it is new, and
farther when it is worn. When it drops in all the way it is time to replace
the chain, and if it rattles back and forth, sorry, but you are replacing the
freewheel or cogs now, and maybe a chainwheel or two.
