The Maillard 700 have metal labyrinth seals while the Trophy has only a plastic lip. Otherwise they seem to be identical. Cones, surface quality and achsle look the same on my two pairs.

This leads me to the question of Pelissier hubs which are according to the CR page somehow related to Maillard. I just got a pair of nice late HF Pelissier Professionals. They have absolutely nothing in common with the Maillards 700, not a single bolt. Sealed Bearings, thread les axle, much much smoother (smoother than NOS Maxi-Cars) etc. I doubt that they are made by Maillard.

Hey - anyone know the differance between Maillard 700 and Maillard Trophy hubset?

Thanks
