Per my earlier post, you need the female threaded collar that came with all Simplex RDs which were installed direct to DO's. The collar slips into the Campy DO and the hanger bolt threads into the collar. If your derailleur doesn't have the collar you can perhaps salvage one from a trashed Simplex derailleur or maybe someone on the list has a spare.
