LIPSETT ROBERT ALEXANDER was born on October 9, 1913 in New York, NY and passed away on February 3, 2004 in Dallas, TX. He was one of the greatest bicycle racers of the 1930's. Among his many titles, two of them were US All Around Champion of 1933 and the National Amateur Champion of 1934. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife Helen Catherine Lipsett; two sons Stephen James Lipsett, Robert Crawford Lipsett; one grandson Robert Alexander Lipsett II; and three sisters Bella Eifler, Ruth Meyer, & Enid Kroger. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 8, 2004 and then all day on Monday, February 9, 2004 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Restland Abbey Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Barker officiating. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park.
