Hi Garrett:

As far as I know, the Record Strada and Pista hubs both added "Record" marks to the barrel in 1963. You can probably find at least one original date on your hubs' internals if you carefully disassemble them. I have a set of Pista hubs that are from 1959/1960 IIRC and they are without the Record mark.

The Pista cranks did not switch to 144 when the road cranks did in 1967. There was not the same urgency to get a smaller minimum chainring than 44 on the track cranks. I'm fairly sure that the track cranks switched to 144 from 151 in 1972. Year codes for both types of arms began in 1973 I think. If yours are 151 without a year code, then they are from earlier than 1973. Shape can then narrow it down after that. There were about four significantly different Pista arm types/shapes from 1958-1972.

The only difference between Strada and Pista LH arms from back then is the stamped word on the back. Otherwise (for LH ones) they are the same.

When you reply to a post in a digest, just highlight what you want to include in your reply, then hit "reply" in your e-mail software, and start composing new stuff / editing the old stuff. Make sure to change the Subject line to match the post to which you are replying (if appropriate). That should work - I think some folks highlight all of the digest from the post in question to the end without realizing it sometimes. I tend to forget to change the darn subject line sometimes ( far too many "senior moments" these days, but that's another story...).

Hope this helps.
