Peter,

Everything about your Peugeot indicates a standard PX10E except the Mafac Competition brakes. The Competition brakes only came on the PX10LE which your bike is not due to the black headlugs. LE's always had headlugs the same color as the rest of the bike so I am guessing yours was upgraded from the common Mafac Racer to the Competition at some time. In my experience, most also came through with Brooks Pro saddles regardless of what was listed in most literature. The Ideale 90 is a very desirable saddle and to my mind (insert joke here) is more comfortable too. What stem and h-bar is on your bike - that can help ID it too as the PX10E would have had an AVA stem and bar whereas the PX10LE would have had a Peugeot labeled Atax Philippe recessed allen stem along with Philippe Professional bars.

Lastly, I never heard of Normandy Super Competition hubs; do you mean Normandy Luxe Competition hubs?

Hope that helps.

Congrats, I think you will enjoy that ride!

Eric Elman Down to something like 6 Peugeot's now comfortably mingling with a few English bikes, they all get along fine.
