Funny we're talking about the French passion for plastique and the plastic little wingnut thingy at the end of my Simplex skewer didn't survive the shipment of my PX-10...

does anyone have any replacements they are willing to sell?

I am also looking for a Stronglight dustcap (1).

I must say I had forgotten just how beautiful Peugeots are (my only other one was a UE-8 in 1974)... something about the classic black and white livery, transfers and just the general finish that's just very smart looking.

This particular model looks to be the classic '70s bike boom garage queen and in remarkable condition. It's been awhile since I've gotten a bike on eBay where I can actually count the paint chips on the fingers of one hand. Even the Reynolds decals are in mint condition. I think the front tyre (Michelin tubular) is original factory issue. The only oddity to this Raleigh guy is the use of rustless instead of stainless spokes. New tubular tyres, find a matched set of Mafac half-hoods (she has brown and black now.. yuck), a lube and a bit more Simichrome quality time, and this lady's ready for the bike path.
