Hi all, For what it is worth,a friend of mine had a Raleigh Competition that was a purple color and the Raleigh name on the down tube was script like my 72 Pro.I never saw this bike in the catalog until the black ones with block letters in 73.So we may have another RRA thing going on here.I know it existed, anyone else see or recall these? My reply:

Yes. I would use "lilac" as a color descriptor. It's not a deep purple color. It also is trimmed with blue/gray head tube accent and wide bands on the seat tube. I have one from 1973. The frame has Zeus drop outs with plenty of decals indicating it's Carlton birthplace. I'm glad to hear that someone other than myself has recollection of these.
