Subject: [CR]Raleigh USA handlebars in aluminum?

I'm working on cleaning up my 1973 Raleigh International and I'm wondering if Raleigh USA handlebars were ever made in aluminum? I got one Raleigh USA handlebars with the Raleigh USA logo and American Flag but it is made of steel and is very heavy. Really heavy. The heaviest handlebars I've ever seen. Yes, even heavier than Cinelli track bars. I replaced the original gb bars on the International with TTT bar & stem in 1974 but I would like to go with the bars with the American Flag engraving on one side. Just what an English bike needs. ;)

I'm not looking to make the bike 'stock'. I replaced too many parts when I got the bike. Sew ups to clinchers, weinman center pull brakes to Durace sidepulls, bars, stem, freewheel.

Thanks,
Rick Paulos
