Wanting to make sure that king of shizzle's Baylis & Co. get off to a a popular and memorable start i think the name Pimpin' Bici™ is 'da bomb.

I can see the new company tapping into markets hitherto undreamt of and look forward to the day that Le Cirque is moved to Las Vegas so it can cater better to such unprecedented popularity for classic vintage lightweights. Then i'll attend for sure. Be proud that cyclists invented the notion of Podium girls well before 2 Live Crew.

It would be cool to see notaries & MC's like Ice T & Snoop Dog kickin' it with our own Chuck "D" Schmidt & Dale "Snoop" Brown at vintage enthusiast events. We could see our perennial man of moments Lou "famous" Deeter eulogize over "notorious" B.I.G. Contemporary music video ideals would change for the better featuring Jay Z riding the Westside highway not in a Camargue or Bentley but a Sachs 30th or a Herse. Cobalto's is where the word "bling bling" originated and wasn't it Eddy Merck X who coined the notion "Back to Africa".

I can forsee Anne Phillips doing public service announcements with Mary J Blige about correct methods for mounting tubulars and advising kids about the benefits of spinning and resisting the temptation of big gears - "just say No!". P Diddy launches a new line of luxurious period wool cycling wear called "Seen Jan" in reference to Mme Johnson. Missy "misdemeanor" Elliot gives up on espousing the merits of "junk in trunk" and confirm that Desgrange had it down and Fixed life is the best way to stay ahead of the game. Beyonce's real name was Croce D'Aune & it's no secret that J-Lo was once a skinny teenager till she started praying day & night "Bisogno cambia qualcossa de drio!" (thanks God - ed.)

i would love to see MTV cribs do a spot on Larry "Righteous Man" Black's attic & maybe the truth will rise about Spike Lee being a CR List member as is evidenced in his early film She's Gotta Have It. We would unearth that Tupac's death had something to do with payback from the Bozzi's over the Frejus affair. Rumor has it that 50 Cent wears bullet proof vests 'coz of a spat with Ken "the original BadBoy" Denny. Imagine a world where Kauzo outpimps Flava Flav by wearing a cambio corsa round his neck & Run DMC flaunt their riches and redirect their original trend by lacing their Adidas with Paturaud Toe straps. From observation to privvy images posted here i can attest that Andre from Outkast already dresses like most of the listmembers. We would consider our pioneer Sheldon "mixmaster" Brown, for teaching Afrika Bambaata & Grandmaster Flash the art of 2 turntables and a microphone, the Last Word (at least on the west side of the Atlantic).

C'mon Brian - go for it. I don't ask for anything except when you, as CEO and founder of Pimpin Bici™ threaten Campagnolo with a class action lawsuit (on behalf of the CR List Inc.) unless they reissue "world logo" hoods make sure you set aside a pair for me. Business would boom and you could employ the whole List - that way we could all claim lineage to Faliero & become authorities on whether Mario Confente would have left the toilet seat up or down. I might suggest you drop your first name and be know hence forth as BigRing Baylis™ - it's more appropriate for when you start filming "Bike's Gone Wild" at Lake Havasu. Dead Presidents are awaiting and besides, rumors already persist about you being the next Messiah - The Life of Brian.

Sadly, i dont see the age old East Coast Vs. West Coast beef ever ending.

ciao,

Ben Kamen, NYC
