I have recently taken two very stuck seatposts out of frames by drilling slightly bigger than 1/4" holes in the bottom of the bottom bracket shell and used 1/4" rod stock from Home Depot to pound the seatpost out -it worked great! Seems like it would work for getting wood out as well.
