Dale, I think every one of those is fully rationalizeable! I know I can rationalize darn near any bike purchase.... (I'd be willing to relieve you of the Urago, though, if that would help in some small way).

OK, here's our fleet: (I say "our" because it's easier to rationalize things that way!)

1937 Oscar Wastyn fully-chromed 531 track (BSA components, need correct post) 1960 Paramount blue road (Record & GS) 1967 Paramount blue track (Record with inch-pitch w/Wippermann block chain) 1967ish Pogliaghi fully-chromed road (Record, need correct cablestop FD) 1970 Raleigh brown Pro road (NR) 1970 Bottechia blue Pro (NR) 1970ish Stella orange road (Zeus/Record/Suntour mix, Ghisallo wooden rims) 1972ish LeJeune red (repainted) Championnat du Monde road (NR) 1972 Masi champagne Verona GC (NOS) (NR) 1974ish Zeus "apricot" (more like rootbeer) road (Zeus Criterium plus 2000 FW) 1974ish Motobecane silver Grand Jubile (their spelling) (non-orig. mix of parts) 1975 Cinelli blue Super Corsa (NR/early SR/Phil/mod. 58s) 1975 Teledyne Titan (NR/early SR mix, for now) 1977ish Colnago white (kinda Chamonix) Super (hers) (NR/OMAS) 1978ish Medici red Pro-Strada, SP, current favorite all-around rider (SR reduced) 1979 Raleigh blue 753 Team Pro road (early SR ti plus "aluminium bits") (18 lbs.) 1981 Raleigh blue mink Pro (NR) 1981 "BMW blue" Guerciotti (hers, well over 50K miles) (panto'ed SR reduced) 1982 Woodrup blue Giro-Touring (Sugino/Zeus/Mavic/NR/SR mix) 1982 Gregor red custom 531 road (NR/SR/50th mix) 1983 Gregor custom SL Tour (hers) (Sugino/Suntour/NR/SR mix) (21 lb.) 1983ish Raleigh (Japan) blue 531 road (Pro?) (S/A S5-equipped commuter) 1985ish Merckx red/white 753R road (hers) ("full" SR) (18 lb.) 1988 Santana charcoal grey Elan tandem (all four of us have used this) (44 lbs....) 1990ish Santana his-n-hers plum-metallic Moda ATBs (a moment of weakness...).

Plus one ATB each for my sons, plus one BMX, plus a dozen or so framesets awaiting time/parts to complete build-up, including: 1977 Nobilette road #0002 (repainted), his-n-hers 1979ish Gios Super Records, 1974ish lilac Moto Le Champion, 1974ish black Andre Bertin road, 1974 Italian Masi GC (repainted), NOS 1983ish 753R aqua Merckx road, 1983ish Team Raleigh 531 in Panasonic or Team Weinmann colors (not sure which), NOS Exxon Graftek (hers), 1974ish Alan Super Record S5-equipped commuter (hers).

This is after I thinnned the herd by about 15 bikes in the last year or two.... Hey, it's a good sickness! Could be worse!

(I do admit to being in a bit of a component rut, however...). (But it makes maintenance simpler...).
