Actually the story goes like this:

Haro Bikes lisenced the Masi name a couple of years ago and is marketing a more contemproary line of bikes and frames. Yup they are ugly and mountain bikey and just like every other machine in the TdF or Giro or your local crit. I don't know anything about the connection between Haro and Mr. Masi behind the Vigorelli Velodrome. Did Haro work with him or some other entity that had the rights to the Masi Marquee in North America? I don't know. If Haro did ask and work with the Old Man, I'm not surprised. The labor of love called framebuilding is pretty expensive these days, and I suspect most craftsmen are not getting paid for what they are worth, with few exceptions; maybe the liscencing deal allows Masi to afford the rent under the Velodrome and the ability to buy some silver solder.
