Mondial were sold in USA apparently. A place called CUSTOM SPORTS CYCLERY in Tucson, AZ listed Mondial among the bikes they sold. This from an ad in BICYCLING 1972.

Other brands mentioned in ads in that issue: Falcon, Legnano, Frejus, Magneet, Romona, Romana, Fuji, Schwinn, Peugot, Gitane, American Eagle, Mondia, Lejeune, Paramount, Super Corga, Colnago, Allegro, Atala, Bertin, Bottechia, Mercier, Stella, Sekai, Nishiki, Campania, Sanki, Victoria, Garlatti, City Road, Royce Union, Motobecane, Italvega, Bianchi, Coppi, Girondelle, Jack Taylor, Liberatas, Libertas, Eddy Merckx, Puch, Steyer, Batavus, Ross, Dawes, Mondo, Zeus, Ron Cooper, Holdsworth, Eisentraught, Pogliaghi, Colnago, Bob Jackson, Turin, Andreis, Hollis, Fuji, KTM, Galmozzi, Witcomb, Youngs, Chimo, Crystal Jeunet, Pegasus, Unikap, Masi, Flandria, Dynamax, Columbia, Windsor, Centurion, Azuki, Campanale, Dura, Moulton, Hetchins, Ferrare, Superchrome, C. Reynolds (review).

Some ad copy may have had typos??: Romona/Romana, Liberatas/Libertas.....

I've been reading CR mail over a year and have never heard some of these mentioned.
