My friend Keith McLeod in Christchurch, New Zealand, has a 1938 Victory racing bike for sale. He is asking NZ$1500, approximately US$1000.

Keith says: "A Victory built here in Christchurch in 1938 for Ev Wildey. Raced for Avon before the war and then for a couple of years after ,then hung up till I got it in 1997. I put the Harden hubs in it when I rebuilt the wheels , otherwise dead original. The paint is amazing, it would be custom today. Weighs about 18/19lbs, Ev was the original weight techno weinie even back then. Comes with two 1" pitch track rings he used on English Park velodrome, and the clamp on front brake he used on the road. Also have two winners ribbons when he won the Round the Bays prewar."
