Steven- I think you are preaching to the choir here. 90% of my bike STILL have toeclips as does one of my main riders. The only thing you didn't mention was the obvious delay in the invention of the toestrap button! I road from 71 to 79 before I discovered such an indispensable item. Sure I folded over the end and put a screw and nut in the end to hold it, but my first encounter with toestrap buttons might as well have been the heavens parting open for me. The ease in which I could cinch down the strap was nothing short of miraculous----well it was for me at any rate. (^:= cheers- Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT
