I've had several of both the Silca Impero and the ugly black Zefal HP-X pumps.

Several, because the Imperos keep breaking, and the HP-Xs keep getting stolen (or did, until I stopped leaving them on the bike).

I've never broken an HP-X, and never had an Impero get stolen.

And now that the Impero has a non-removable plastic head, I can't even use the best part of a Silca pump ... that being the chromed Campagnolo pump head.

Steven L. Sheffield Pump pump pump pump phwing! (as the Impero handle goes flying across the room in Midvale, Utah)
