Hey, anyone with a gitane? I'm researching what are the correct decals for a restoration.
Can you tell me what the decal says on the top tube. My project Gitane has something there -- I just can't make it out. It looks like SERV?????OURSE. Then there is the globe with the "Gitane". Any idea when these Gitanes were made.
Also - there are no down tube or seat decals/foil. Any clue what went there. There appears to be what's left of a "Handmade" decal on the seat tube? I suspect there was the big diamond shape foil on the seat tube but I don't know fer sure. Whose got some pics I can look at?
