Can I add my 2 cents???

Not to be the pessimist in the group - although I would hardly call it pessimistic - all "bike" types, in my opinion, should at some point come to grips with (and I am not implying that anyone has lost touch with reality) the fact that bicycling in the USA is a hobby and probably will remain as such. It is not viewed as a mainstream sport, although Lance Armstrong has gone a long way to improving its image among the mainstream crowd. Cars with the name Ford, Chevy, etc. have a draw because the people collecting them grew up with the cars. Very few of us grew up with Bianchis in the garage. Those of us who did, are here, and some even value the older bikes.

I am all for showing off bicycles, and love to look at them, but understand that this is something that only a dedicated few are interested in.

Stephan Andranian - Still the only guy on the club rides voluntarily participating in "Retro-Friday" - and leading at points on a 1970 Gitane Super Corsa (much to the chagrin of the people on the 17 lb. DeRosa Kings!)
