Bob,

You haven't missed the Tesch story. I haven't written it yet. Still in the backlog of thing I have to write. There's lots in there, so be patient.

CR-ers,

John Howard was raised here in my hometown. The only time I met him was at the '79 Red Zinger Classic in Colorado. Nice guy, funny hair. ;-)

I have one of the Tesch/Baylis Howards and would love to know all the details about these bikes. Anyone have anything else to share? Brian -- you were going to tell the Tesch story at one point. Did I miss it?

John Howard is a nice guy, as far as I know. He had Dave Tesch build some of the Howard frames, which I painted at the time.

More skimming, and found this passages: "....the investment atmosphere encouraged Howard to consider producing his own line of signature frames......with the capital to start the enterprise , Howard hired Dave Moulton and his assistant, Dave Tesch, who built expensive custom bicycles in their shop in San Marcos.
