Looking out of the window at the pouring rain reminded me of a game we use to play in the old days on clubruns. This was to pass the time when we were stuck in a pub or a cycling cafe waiting for the rain to ease up. We use to start with the first letter of the alphabet and go around the group naming all the frame makers with this initial. For instance Allin, Armstrong and so on until that letter was exhausted. Now here are some that you might not have heard off and are missing off Dales list. Betrand, Benetfink, Duke, Exel, Franklin, Hamilton, Hammond, Holland, Holmes, Imperial Petrel , Leader, Rodgers, Sibbert, Southern, Stephens and Woodall. Everyday makers names sadly now long vanished and forgotten. Can never ever remember the weather being that bad to get to X or Z was there one?
