In the US the Seagraves pumper engine was built by a bicycle company(that went into auto production)The autos lasted till 1936--the bikes till1940--but the engine was built till 1970.And chrystler just used their car ingine in the tanks they built in ww2(only conected them in a series so if one went out the others would still run)Lota strange designing took place in ww2
