Hi Folks - I just want to thank everybody who took the time to help me get a handle on this problem. I was astounded by the level of response and help I received. I'm normally pretty calm but I don't mind saying that the magnitude of the downstream repercussions on my customers and my own business as a result of these losses were starting to freak me out.

Anyway, UPS called me first thing this morning after some kind soul forwarded my email for help to them. UPS has since called me several times today with updates and progress on their efforts to find the missing shipment. They seemed sincerely concerned that this was happening and at the magnitude of my previous losses. The missing shipment to Specialized has still not been found, but I know they're busting butt looking for it and as a result, I'm feeling a bit better about Brown today.

I'd also like to publicly thank Jim Merz @ Specialized, Bill Holland, and Rivendell/Grant Petersen/Curt Goodrich for being patient & cutting us some slack though they were directly affected by the losses and to those customers whose shipments were/are delayed as we work to make up the lost ground.

Damn, I'm having a Sally Fields at the Oscars moment...
